Sesheng LLC is seeking an experienced Senior BI and Data Analytics Engineer to design, develop, and support enterprise-grade reporting and data solutions. In this remote role, you will leverage SAP BusinessObjects and Snowflake to deliver reliable, high-quality analytics while partnering closely with our global business and data engineering teams. The ideal candidate brings a deep technical mastery of data warehousing, exceptional SQL skills, and a proven track record of transforming raw data into actionable business intelligence.
Key Responsibilities
- BI Development: Design, develop, and maintain complex reports and universes using SAP BusinessObjects (WebI, IDT/UDT).
- Data Modeling & Optimization: Craft and optimize robust data models, views, and advanced queries within Snowflake to ensure peak performance.
- Data Integration: Collaborate on ETL/ELT pipelines to efficiently load, transform, and orchestrate data into Snowflake.
- Data Quality & Support: Conduct end-to-end troubleshooting of data accuracy, system performance, and reporting bottlenecks. Support production issues, enhancements, and platform upgrades.
- Business Collaboration: Gather and translate complex business requirements into scalable, intuitive reporting solutions.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of data logic, schema transformations, and reporting architectures.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: 6–8 years of progressive experience in business intelligence, analytics, or data engineering roles.
- Core BI Expertise: Strong, hands-on technical proficiency with the SAP BusinessObjects suite (this is a primary screening requirement).
- Cloud Data Warehousing: Solid experience with Snowflake and expert-level SQL optimization skills.
- ETL/Data Integration: Proven experience working with data integration platforms (Matillion, Informatica, SSIS, Alteryx).
- Best Practices: Deep understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and BI architectural best practices.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical problem-solving capabilities with the ability to bridge the gap between technical execution and business strategy.
Nice to Have
- Direct experience with Matillion ETL.
- Exposure to enterprise ERP systems.
- Experience with modern visualization tools like Power BI.
- Cloud infrastructure familiarity with AWS or Azure.
