Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst / BI Developer with strong expertise in Tableau, Python, and SQL. The ideal candidate will be responsible for collecting, processing, and analyzing data from multiple sources, building robust ETL pipelines, and developing interactive dashboards to support business decision-making. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into analytical solutions while ensuring data accuracy, governance, and performance optimization.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and validate data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Develop and maintain ETL pipelines to process data from various sources such as CSV files, flat files, and live databases.
- Build, maintain, and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and data pipelines.
- Design and develop interactive dashboards and visualizations using Tableau to support business operations and leadership reporting.
- Use Python for data manipulation, automation, statistical analysis, and exploratory data analysis (EDA).
- Perform trend analysis, forecasting, and KPI reporting to support business strategy.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into analytical solutions.
- Support data governance, documentation, and metadata management processes.
- Troubleshoot data issues and identify opportunities for performance and process improvements.
- Manage dashboard changes, enhancements, and periodic data refreshes.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including IT, Engineering, Operations, and Finance.
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies and trends in data analytics and recommend innovative solutions to improve data quality and efficiency.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Tableau (dashboard creation, calculations, data blending, performance optimization).
- Hands-on experience with Tableau Prep and advanced Tableau development.
- Proficiency in Python for data analysis (Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib, etc.).
- Strong hands-on experience in SQL (joins, window functions, performance tuning).
- Experience with relational databases such as Oracle, MySQL, MS SQL Server, Teradata, etc.
- Solid understanding of relational database management systems, data modeling, and normalization.
- Ability to query and visualize large datasets while maximizing workbook performance.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, macros, advanced formulas).
- Experience working in Agile methodology environments.
Preferred / Desired Skills
- Experience with Google Cloud or other cloud platforms.
- Knowledge of Google Looker Studio.
- Experience with ETL tools such as DataIQ or similar tools.
- Knowledge of batch schedulers such as Airflow, Control-M, UC4, Autosys, etc.
- Basic understanding of UI/UX tools such as Figma (added advantage).
- Manufacturing domain experience is a plus (not mandatory).
