Data Analyst – Parul Institute of Design
Role Summary:
This role focuses on managing, analyzing, and maintaining all student-related data, including academic
performance, attendance, and documentation. The analyst ensures accurate record-keeping and
efficient data workflows to support faculty, administration, and students at a design school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update student records, including marks, attendance, and personal information.
- Design and manage databases or student information systems tailored to the school's needs.
- Generate reports and dashboards on student performance, attendance, and progression.
- Collaborate with faculty and administration to streamline data entry and documentation processes.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and institutional policies.
- Analyze academic data to identify trends and support decision-making for curriculum improvements.
- Assist with automation of routine reporting tasks and document management.
- Support the integration of various educational tools and platforms with the student data system.
- Train staff on proper use of data management systems and software.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience with student information systems (SIS) or learning management systems (LMS).
- Strong data management and database skills (Excel, SQL, Google Sheets, or similar).
- Knowledge of data privacy and security practices related to student records.
- Ability to create clear reports and data visualizations.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Good communication skills to liaise with faculty, administration, and IT teams.
- Familiarity with academic grading systems and educational administration.
- Degree in M.Sc – IT, MCA, Data Analytics, or related field preferred.
