DATA ANALYST
Maxima Apparel •Gurugram, India • Full-time
ROLE OVERVIEW
Shift: Monday–Friday, 6:30 PM – 3:30 AM IST (New York aligned)
Experience: 2–4 years
Location: Gurugram, India (On-site)
Reports To: Sr. Data Manager, Analytics & BI
Maxima Apparel is growing its analytics capabilities and modernizing the data architecture that supports them. Today, reporting runs primarily on PostgreSQL and Power BI, with plans to incorporate ClickHouse and a semantic layer as the platform matures. As our Data Analyst, you'll sit at the intersection of business and data — translating stakeholder needs into clean, fast, insightful Power BI dashboards and reports. You should be as comfortable writing SQL in PostgreSQL as you are explaining a chart to a non-technical stakeholder on a late-evening call with the US team.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Reporting & Dashboards
- Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports for business stakeholders.
- Connect Power BI to PostgreSQL as the primary data source, with future evolution toward ClickHouse and Cube.js as the data architecture matures.
- Write advanced DAX measures and optimize Power Query (M language) for performance and accuracy.
- Troubleshoot and resolve report refresh failures, data inaccuracies, and performance issues.
- Manage report distribution, access management, and stakeholder communication.
Collaboration & Requirements
- Work directly with stakeholders across the globe including the U.S., China, and Mexico (sales, operations, finance, and others) to translate business questions into data solutions.
- Partner with the Sr. Data Manager to ensure data availability and model consistency.
- Maintain documentation for report logic, data sources, and refresh schedules.
Automation & Tooling
- Support automation of reporting workflows using Python scripting and Power Automate.
- Identify and advocate for improvements to report architecture as our stack evolves.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Power BI — DAX, data modeling, Power Query (M language), report development
- Advanced SQL (PostgreSQL preferred)
- Python — scripting and automation
- Clear communication with business stakeholders
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Hands-on Cube.js experience (consuming models, understanding dimensions and measures).
- Familiarity with ClickHouse for query performance and real-time analytics.
- Power Automate for distribution and workflow automation.
- Experience building reports in a multi-source environment (Postgres + ClickHouse).
- Understanding of star/snowflake schemas and data warehouse design.
- Understanding of semantic layer concepts (Cube.js exposure a strong plus).
- ETL/ELT fundamentals.
WHY MAXIMA APPAREL

- Close collaboration with a global leadership team that values data-driven decisions.
- A small, focused team where your work is visible and your voice matters.
- Continuous learning across BI, semantic layers, and emerging data tools.
