Responsibilities and Duties
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports to meet business requirements.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, define KPIs, and deliver actionable insights.
- Perform data analysis, validation, and interpretation using SQL, Excel, and other analytical tools.
- Build and optimize data models within Power BI for efficiency and scalability.
- Develop DAX queries and calculations to enhance dashboard functionality.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability through proper validation and testing.
- Work with Data Engineers to integrate multiple data sources (SQL Server, Excel, APIs, cloud sources) into Power BI.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support reporting and analytics needs across departments.
- Maintain documentation, user guides, and provide training to business users for Power BI reports.
- Stay updated with the latest features of Power BI and recommend best practices for dashboard design and performance.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Statistics, or related field.
- 5 years of hands-on experience as a Data Analyst, with strong focus on Power BI.
- Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis.
- Strong expertise in building data models, DAX calculations, and Power Query transformations.
- Experience working with large datasets, data warehouses, and cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
- Excellent understanding of data visualization principles and best practices.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including business, IT, and data engineering.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with other visualization tools (Tableau, Qlik) in addition to Power BI.
- Knowledge of Python for advanced data analysis and automation.
- Familiarity with Azure Synapse, AWS Redshift, or Google BigQuery.
- Experience with data governance, quality, and compliance practices.
- Microsoft Power BI certification or equivalent.
