Data Analyst

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Data Analyst & Report Developer with strong expertise in Power BI and/or Google Looker Studio. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with data, building intuitive dashboards, and translating complex datasets into actionable insights.

You will work closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, and leadership teams to design, develop, and maintain dashboards and reports that enable data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Dashboard Development:

Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI and/or Google Looker Studio tailored to business needs.

Data Analysis:

Analyse large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that support business decisions.

Data Modeling:

Create efficient data models, relationships, and transformations to ensure optimal performance and usability of reports.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

Work closely with business users, product teams, and leadership to gather requirements and translate them into meaningful visualizations.

Data Validation & Quality:

Ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data presented in dashboards through validation and quality checks.

Performance Optimization:

Optimize dashboards and queries for performance, scalability, and usability.

Documentation:

Maintain proper documentation for dashboards, data sources, and transformation logic.

Ad-hoc Analysis:

Support business teams with ad-hoc data requests and custom reporting needs.

Required Skills:

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in data analysis and report development.
• Strong expertise in Power BI and/or Google Looker Studio (dashboard creation, data modeling, DAX/Calculated Fields).
• Solid understanding of SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
• Experience working with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, BigQuery).
• Strong understanding of data visualization best practices and storytelling with data.
• Experience in cleaning, transforming, and preparing data for reporting.
• Ability to understand business requirements and convert them into analytical solutions.
• Good communication skills with the ability to explain insights to non-technical stakeholders.

Good to Have (Preferred):

• Experience with Google BigQuery / GCP ecosystem.
• Familiarity with ETL tools or data pipelines.
• Basic knowledge of Python (Pandas, NumPy) for data analysis.
• Exposure to business domains like BFSI, Telecom, or SaaS analytics.
• Understanding of KPI frameworks and business metrics design.
• Experience working in an Agile environment.

Educational Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
• Master's Degree (Preferred) in Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or related domain.
• Certifications in Power BI, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Data Analytics, or AI/ML will be considered an added advantage.
• Strong academic understanding of data analysis, statistics, machine learning algorithms, and cloud technologies preferred.
