Position Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Data Analyst Intern to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in transforming raw data into actionable insights that drive business decisions. You will work closely with our senior analysts and business teams to collect, clean, analyze, and visualize data. Key Responsibilities
- Data Collection & Cleaning: Assist in gathering data from various sources; perform cleaning and preprocessing to ensure data quality, accuracy, and completeness.
- Data Analysis: Apply statistical methods and analysis techniques to identify trends, patterns, and correlations in complex datasets.
- Visualization & Reporting: Help build and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations using [e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Python libraries] to communicate findings clearly to stakeholders.
- Collaborate: Work closely with product, marketing, and operations teams to understand their data requirements and deliver relevant insights.
- Data Integrity: Participate in data validation and testing to ensure the accuracy and reliability of reports and analysis.
- Ad-Hoc Analysis: Respond to data-related queries and perform exploratory data analysis to support business questions.
- Documentation: Write and maintain clear documentation for data sources, queries, and analysis methods.
Required Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related quantitative field.
- Solid understanding of fundamental statistical concepts and data analysis principles.
- Basic experience with at least one data analysis tool or language (e.g., Python (Pandas, NumPy), R, or SQL).
- Familiarity with spreadsheet tools like Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Eagerness to learn, a strong analytical and problem-solving attitude, and high attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with a specific BI or data visualization tool (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
- Familiarity with version control, especially Git.
- Experience writing complex SQL queries to extract and manipulate data.
- Exposure to cloud data platforms (e.g., Google BigQuery, AWS Redshift, or Snowflake).
- Knowledge of basic statistical modeling or machine learning concepts.
- Personal data analysis projects or participation in platforms like Kaggle
