Our team, BTI Analytics (BTIA), acts as a strategic partner to BTI by powering fact-based decision making by providing client centric data, insights, and analytic tools to continuously improve our business operationally and strategically. We perform client retention analytics, associate performance analytics, budget and financial analytics, client demand sensing, and overall efficiency analytics, improving the performance of our experts and BTI.
We are looking for an Analyst who is a proven analytical problem solver, has strong technical understanding of data / data systems and an exceptional team player to be part of our growing team.
This role will primarily focus on ownership of end-to-end deliverables and generating business and operational insights into content and/or interaction and events-related assets (e.g., documents, inquiries, proposal reviews, client webinars, etc.) that drive retention. Initiatives and projects involve defining data, pulling data, developing a technical understanding of Gartner data, analyzing data for insights on performance and efficiency, building recommendations and use cases, visualizing data, and scaling through automated visualizations and reporting.
Example objectives:
- Design and develop comprehensive end-to-end dashboards that effectively communicate the performance of our content, interactions and events assets, including root cause analyses, identification of emerging trends, and highlighting areas of success and opportunity.
- Standardize and automate key metrics such as top-read documents, measurement of document reach, the impact of interactions across the licensed user base, cycle time of interactions and our analyst availability, taking into account target roles, industries, geographies, priority navigators, and other relevant factors.
- Establish robust mechanisms to measure the current performance of our research assets and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Enhance content and interaction reporting by improving scorecards, operational reviews, and dashboards, as well as automating ad-hoc reporting requests from BTI and Product teams.
What you will do:
- Establish a Center of Excellence: Build deep expertise in Gartner research asset data, develop a thorough understanding of data across source systems, data warehouses, dashboards, and reports. Ensure analyses are robust and reliable, positioning the team as the trusted source for data and guidance across Gartner.
- Strategic Stakeholder Partnership: Collaborate closely with key stakeholders (e.g., BTI, RES, Insights Strategy & Operations) to understand business requirements and identify capabilities that drive analysis of performance and ROI on content and interaction investments.
- Data Methodology, structuring, and insights: Design, implement, and continuously refine methodologies to measure engagement and assess the impact of content and interactions on client retention. Organize and structure large data sets to extract actionable insights, supporting data-driven decision-making and recommendations on how to improve analyst performance and overall Gartner business.
- Continuous Improvement: Lead efforts to automate existing dashboards, reports, and analyses wherever possible to improve scalability and efficiency. Execute project approaches using iterative development, delivering functionality in incremental, value-driven phases. Proactively identify, recommend, and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and business value.
- Effective Communication: Develop clear, compelling outputs that communicate root causes and tell a coherent story to address and solve business challenges.
- Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing: Promote seamless collaboration within the team and facilitate knowledge sharing to drive collective success.
What you will need:
- Experience: 2+ years of progressive business experience involving advanced business analytics, complex problem solving, and business strategy.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree required. Degree with a concentration in statistics, data science, mathematics, engineering, computer science, or operations research preferred.
- Exceptional problem solving: Ability to solve complex problems, Critical thinking, Analytical reasoning, Innovation, and using data to influence senior level stakeholders.
- Strong technical understanding of data and skills to analyze and visualize
- Statistical analysis incl identify patterns and trends in the data, avoid bias and apply the right models/methodologies/calculations.
- Experience in Excel & SQL is a must-have
- Experience in data visualization tools e.g. Tableau, Power BI & programming languages e.g. Python, R would be preferred.
- Attention to detail e.g. data hygiene, quality checks, documentation etc.
- Rigorous prioritization and working in fast paced environments: Track record of success in environments with competing and continuously evolving priorities.
- Collaboration and Stakeholder management: Strong collaboration and influencing skills in a highly matrixed environment.
- Communication: Outstanding verbal and written communication structured, engaging and compelling.
