Job Description

About The Company

TailorFlow AI is a Cambridge-based enterprise AI services company dedicated to designing and delivering bespoke solutions for complex business challenges. Our mission is to assist enterprises and ambitious mid-market organizations in identifying valuable AI opportunities and implementing systems that seamlessly integrate into real-world business environments. With a focus on innovation and tailored solutions, we enable our clients to harness the power of artificial intelligence to drive growth and operational efficiency.

Our client base spans across the UK, South Africa, the Americas, and Australia, reflecting our global reach and diverse industry expertise. Most of our work is conducted asynchronously, providing flexibility for team members to structure their days effectively. Depending on project requirements, team members should be comfortable maintaining three to four hours of overlap with the relevant customer geography to facilitate collaboration and communication.

We are a small but growing team primarily based in Cambridge, complemented by newer remote team members working from India. As our international clientele expands, we are actively onboarding additional remote talent in India. We value individuals who take ownership of their work, approach problems constructively, and maintain a positive attitude when navigating ambiguity. Our team members are encouraged to investigate issues thoroughly, propose innovative solutions, and contribute to the successful progression of projects.

About The Role

We are seeking a dedicated Data Analyst to join our consulting and engineering teams. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in understanding client data and transforming it into actionable insights that inform AI solutions. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on meaningful projects that have a tangible impact on client operations and strategic decision-making.

As a Data Analyst at TailorFlow AI, you will be responsible for exploring datasets, assessing data quality, identifying patterns, and supporting the design and validation of bespoke AI systems. Your insights will directly influence the development and deployment of AI solutions tailored to our clients unique needs. The role requires a mix of technical expertise, analytical thinking, and effective communication to bridge the gap between complex data and practical business applications.

Responsibilities

  • Explore, clean, and analyze both structured and unstructured client data to uncover meaningful insights.
  • Assess data quality, completeness, and suitability for various AI use cases, identifying issues and recommending improvements.
  • Define key metrics and prepare clear, concise analytical summaries tailored for diverse audiences.
  • Support model evaluation, testing, and output validation to ensure robustness and accuracy of AI solutions.
  • Create visualizations and communicate findings effectively to non-technical stakeholders, facilitating informed decision-making.
  • Collaborate closely with consultants and engineers to translate analytical insights into actionable solution decisions and project strategies.

Qualifications

  • One to three years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or analytics roles.
  • Strong proficiency with spreadsheets and working knowledge of SQL for data querying and manipulation.
  • Ability to identify data-quality issues and clearly articulate their implications on analysis and modeling.
  • Excellent analytical communication skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Curiosity about artificial intelligence and applied machine learning techniques.
  • Ability to work independently, take ownership of deliverables, and manage time effectively.

Additional Skills That Are Beneficial

  • Experience with Python, Power BI, Tableau, or similar data visualization and analysis tools.
  • Exposure to text, document, or operational datasets, with an understanding of their unique challenges.
  • Previous experience supporting consulting or client-facing projects, demonstrating strong stakeholder management skills.

We value clear thinking and reliable analysis above extensive tool familiarity, emphasizing the importance of analytical rigor and problem-solving skills.

Benefits

  • Opportunity to work on real AI implementations for international clients across diverse industries and functions.
  • Exposure to a variety of use cases, enabling broad professional development and expertise expansion.
  • Direct collaboration with experienced founders and technical specialists, fostering mentorship and knowledge sharing.
  • Flexible remote working arrangements that promote work-life balance and autonomy.
  • Potential for rapid growth within a small team, where high performers can quickly assume greater responsibilities and leadership roles.

Equal Opportunity

TailorFlow AI is committed to creating an inclusive environment where all employees and applicants are treated with fairness and respect. We are an equal opportunity employer and do not discriminate based on race, ethnicity, gender, age, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic. We believe diversity enriches our team and drives innovation, and we welcome applicants from all backgrounds to join us in our mission to deliver impactful AI solutions.
