Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Data Analyst based in Chennai. The Data Analyst will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting complex data sets, building data models, and generating actionable insights to support decision-making. Daily tasks include collecting, cleaning, and processing data, creating reports and visualizations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive data-informed strategies. The role also involves leveraging statistical techniques to identify trends and opportunities for performance improvement.

Technical Skills

• Strong proficiency in data analysis, data cleaning, and exploratory data analytics (EDA)
• Hands-on experience with AI/ML techniques such as clustering, forecasting, anomaly detection, regression, etc.
• Ability to work with large datasets from meters, utilities, or industrial systems
• Good understanding of energy systems, load curves, consumption patterns, TOD tariffs, and basic electrical concepts
• Experience with tools like Python, Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-Learn, Jupyter, or equivalent analytics platforms
• Familiarity with data visualization tools (Matplotlib, Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
• Understanding of APIs, data pipelines, or IoT data (optional but preferred)

Language Requirement

• Fluent in Telugu (reading, writing, and speaking) to analyse utility documents, consumer data, and coordinate with field teams in Andhra Pradesh (Vizag)

• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking
• Ability to convert raw data into clear insights and actionable recommendations
• Attention to detail and comfort working with real-time or messy datasets
• Good communication skills for reporting insights to both technical and non-technical teams
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment

Educational Background

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, Economics, Statistics, or a related field
• Additional certifications in AI/ML, Data Analytics, or Power/Energy systems is a plus
