About the Role
We're looking for a sharp Data Analyst who can turn raw data into clear business insights. You'll work closely with product, business, and tech teams to drive decisions across customer discovery, restaurant performance, and revenue optimization.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze large datasets from MySQL and Databricks to extract actionable insights
- Build and maintain dashboards and reports for business stakeholders
- Write efficient SQL queries for data extraction and transformation
- Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) using Python
- Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in user behavior, bookings, and transactions
- Work with product and business teams to define KPIs and success metrics
- Support A/B testing and experiment analysis
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability across systems
Must-Have Skills (Non-negotiable)
- Strong SQL skills (complex joins, aggregations, query optimization)
- Hands-on experience with MySQL
- Experience working with Databricks / large-scale data platforms
- Strong proficiency in Python for data analysis (Pandas, NumPy)
- Solid understanding of data analysis concepts (EDA, data cleaning, statistical basics)
- Experience with data visualization tools ( Metabase, or similar)
- Ability to translate business problems into data questions
- Good communication skills (can explain insights without sounding like a query log)
- Exposure to LLMs / AI tools (e.g., using AI for data analysis, automation, or insights generation)
Good-to-Have Skills (Adds serious edge)
- Experience with PySpark or distributed data processing
- Knowledge of A/B testing, hypothesis testing, and statistics
- Exposure to product analytics (funnels, retention, cohorts)
- Experience in consumer internet / marketplace / food-tech domain
- Familiarity with data pipelines / ETL concepts
- Basic understanding of machine learning models (not mandatory, but useful)
- Experience working with event tracking tools (Like GA, Amplitude)
