Data Analyst / Data Scientist – AI & Analytics (Microsoft Fabric)

Role Overview: We're seeking a data professional to build AI-powered analytics solutions, monitor production systems, and deliver actionable business insights using Microsoft Fabric and Power BI.

• Dashboarding & BI: Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports, leveraging Copilot in Power BI for natural language report generation and DAX/semantic model optimization.
• Fabric Platform: Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric — Lakehouse, Warehouse, KQL databases (Eventhouse), and OneLake — for unified data engineering and analytics.
• AI Agent Development: Build and configure Fabric Data Agents (conversational AI layer over Lakehouse/Warehouse/KQL/semantic models) including instruction tuning, example Q&A design, and table/schema scoping for accurate query results.
• Production Monitoring: Set up and manage Fabric Operations Agents to proactively monitor real-time telemetry, define anomaly conditions, and route alerts to Teams for triage.
• Anomaly & Change Detection: Apply statistical and ML-based techniques (change-point detection, drift detection, isolation forests, clustering) to identify new/unseen production scenarios beyond static threshold rules.
• Data Science: Develop and deploy predictive/statistical models (Python/PySpark in Fabric notebooks) to support forecasting, root-cause analysis, and incident investigation.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL, KQL, DAX, Python, and experience with Azure OpenAI Assistant API-based tooling; familiarity with Copilot Studio integration a plus.
• Incident Response Collaboration: Partner with engineering/ops teams during production incidents, using Data Agents to quickly query telemetry and surface patterns during live investigations.
• Qualifications: Bachelor's/Master's in Data Science, Computer Science, or related field, 2–4+ years experience with Power BI/Fabric, and working knowledge of ML/statistical anomaly detection methods.
