Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Analyst/Data Analytics Specialist to join our company. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in Python, PySpark, SQL, Tableau, and advanced data analytics, including experience with classification and regression algorithms. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of the banking domain mainly Home Equity, be an excellent communicator, and possess a passion for transforming data into actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Python, PySpark and SQL.
- Perform in-depth data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that support business decision-making.
- Develop classification and regression models for predictive analytics projects.
- Create interactive and insightful dashboards and reports using Tableau.
- Work closely with in the team, including business stakeholders, product owners, to gather requirements and deliver data-driven solutions.
- Validate data for accuracy, completeness, and reliability.
- Interpret business needs and translate them into analytic solutions and actionable outcomes.
- Present complex findings and insights to both technical and non-technical audiences clearly and effectively.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of data practices, processes, and documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
- 4+ years of proven experience in a data analyst or similar data analytics role.
- Strong hands-on experience with: - Python (including relevant data libraries such as pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn)
- PySpark for distributed data processing
- SQL for querying and managing large datasets
- Tableau for dashboarding and visualization
- Solid understanding and experience with machine learning techniques, especially classification and regression algorithms.
- Prior experience or knowledge in the banking or financial services domain is highly preferred. Home Equity Banking knowledge is mostly preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
