Data Analyst

We are looking for a highly analytical and business-oriented Data Analyst with a strong sense of curiosity and the ability to spot patterns, identify business problems, and generate actionable insights from data to drive growth across Airtel Finance products (personal loans, credit cards, gold loans, business loans, fixed deposits).

The role will be responsible for generating actionable business insights, monitoring business performance, identifying growth opportunities, and enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization. While business analytics will be the primary focus, the role will also support product analytics, customer journey analysis, and predictive analytics initiatives.

The Data analyst will work closely with Growth, Product, Risk, Engineering, and Data Science teams within Airtel Finance and across other lines of business to solve high-impact business problems, improve customer experience, and accelerate business growth. The role is also expected to leverage modern AI capabilities, including AI agents and conversational analytics, to automate insight generation and build scalable analytics solutions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Problem to Solution: Translate complex business problems into well-defined data problems, designing and implementing robust analytical solutions that address critical business needs within the lending lifecycle.
2. Data Analysis & Modeling: Conduct in-depth exploratory data analysis, develop predictive models, and utilize advanced statistical techniques to uncover insights, identify trends, and forecast outcomes relevant to lending products and customer behavior.
3. AI First: Leverage AI agents, LLMs, and modern analytics tools to automate recurring analyses and generate scalable business insights. Build prompt-driven workflows and AI-assisted analytical solutions that improve productivity across business teams. Evaluate emerging AI capabilities and identify opportunities to embed AI into analytics workflows, reporting, and decision support.
4. Business Acumen & Strategy: Apply a deep understanding of the lending industry, market dynamics, and business objectives to contextualize data findings, ensuring that analytical insights directly support strategic decision-making and drive tangible business value.
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with various stakeholders, including product development, risk management, operations, and leadership teams, to understand their analytical needs and effectively communicate complex data insights and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
6. Reporting & Visualization: Develop and maintain compelling reports and interactive dashboards using data visualization tools to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide ongoing performance insights.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience in Business Analytics, Growth Analytics, Product Analytics, or related analytical roles.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to translate data into actionable business recommendations.
• Strong problem-solving skills with hypothesis-driven analytical thinking.
• Excellent SQL skills and experience working with large datasets.
• Proficiency in Excel, Tableau, MongoDB, Kibana, and data visualization tools.
• Exposure to predictive analytics, experimentation, or statistical analysis is preferred.
• Experience in fintech, lending, banking, digital payments, or consumer internet businesses is preferred.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills.
