About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Business Intelligence (BI) Developer to join our dynamic team at Innodata Inc. In this role, you will be responsible for translating complex business requirements into effective technical solutions, designing, building, and deploying comprehensive BI solutions including reports, dashboards, and semantic models. You will play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing our data warehouses and analytics platforms, ensuring high performance, data quality, and reliability. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, or Looker, along with a solid understanding of ETL processes, SQL, and data modeling. Prior experience working within Google's internal teams or advanced analytical platforms like PLx will be considered a significant advantage.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing BI solutions, including reports, dashboards, and semantic models.
- Extensive proficiency in developing, optimizing, and maintaining ETL workflows and data integration processes.
- Strong expertise in writing complex SQL queries, performing ad-hoc data analysis, and troubleshooting data issues.
- Hands-on experience with BI visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, or Looker, with a focus on PLX dashboarding and advanced analytical platforms.
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts, OLAP cubes, tabular models, and data modeling best practices.
- Excellent collaboration skills to work effectively with business stakeholders, data engineers, analysts, and IT teams.
- Strong documentation skills for data models, ETL workflows, and reporting logic.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment with a focus on data quality, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Translate complex business requirements into technical specifications and BI solutions that align with organizational goals.
- Design, develop, and deploy interactive reports, dashboards, and semantic models to facilitate data-driven decision-making.
- Develop, optimize, and maintain ETL processes to ensure seamless data integration from multiple sources.
- Maintain and enhance data warehouses and analytics platforms, including OLAP cubes and tabular models, to support scalable analytics.
- Create and optimize complex SQL queries for data extraction, analysis, and reporting purposes.
- Perform ad-hoc data analysis to support business needs and provide actionable insights.
- Monitor the performance and data quality of BI solutions, troubleshoot issues, and implement necessary improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, analysts, data engineers, and IT, to ensure BI solutions meet requirements.
- Document data models, ETL workflows, and reporting logic to facilitate ongoing maintenance and knowledge sharing.
- Stay updated with the latest BI tools, techniques, and best practices, particularly in PLX dashboarding and advanced analytical platforms.
