Job Description

Dance Teacher (Primary Years)

Location: Sector 70A, Gurgaon

Do you believe that dance is more than performance—that it is confidence, self-expression, cultural understanding, collaboration, and joy

We are looking for an educator who can transform a classroom into a stage, a rhythm into a lesson, and movement into a lifelong love for learning.

Job Description:

You will inspire our youngest learners to discover themselves through movement. Whether it's a playful warm-up, a folk dance celebrating cultural diversity, a creative movement exploration linked to a classroom theme, or a polished stage performance, you'll help children find their voice through dance. This role is for someone who sees dance not as an extracurricular activity, but as an essential part of a child's holistic development.

What Your Days Might Look Like

  • Turning stories into movement adventures for Kindergarten and Primary students.
  • Connecting dance with inquiry, creativity, culture, and themes in alignment with both CBSE and the International curriculum.
  • Choreographing performances that celebrate learning, diversity, and student voice.
  • Creating a safe and inclusive environment where every child feels comfortable expressing themselves.
  • Collaborating with classroom teachers to integrate dance into transdisciplinary learning experiences.
  • Organizing assemblies, productions, festivals, competitions, and special events that leave lasting memories.
  • Encouraging students to appreciate various dance forms—from Indian classical and folk traditions to contemporary and creative movement.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Dance, Performing Arts, or a related field.
  • Formal training in one or more dance styles (Indian Classical, Folk, Contemporary, Creative Movement, Western Dance, etc.).
  • Experience teaching primary-age students in a school setting.
  • Familiarity with CBSE and/or Primary Years Programme (PYP) practices is desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Brings energy, positivity, and imagination into every lesson.
  • Understands child development and adapts teaching strategies accordingly.
  • Can inspire confidence, discipline, teamwork, and resilience through dance.
