Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for a D365 F&O Developer at Searchlight Electric, based in India. The Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing solutions using Microsoft Power Automate, Power BI, and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations. This includes creating automated workflows, insightful business intelligence reports and dashboards, developing and supporting D365 F&O, and managing integrations. The role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement and support business applications, ensuring system efficiency, quality, and reliability.

About the Role

We are expanding our presence in India and seeking a skilled D365 F&O and Power Platform Developer to join our growing team. You will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and implementing solutions utilising Microsoft Power Automate, Power BI, and Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations. This includes creating automated processes, developing insightful data visualisations and dashboards, and ensuring robust integrations between our D365 F&O system, Power Platform, and other critical business applications. This position is ideal for a highly motivated and experienced developer who enjoys leveraging the full potential of the Microsoft ecosystem, solving complex technical challenges, collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams, and delivering high-quality, efficient, and reliable solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement Power Automate flows for process automation across various business functions.
• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards to provide actionable insights from business data, including data modelling and DAX queries.
• Provide development, customisation, and support for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations.
• Design, develop, and implement integrations using Logic Apps, Azure Integration Services, and other appropriate tools to ensure seamless data exchange between D365 F&O, Power Platform, and external systems, including EDI and API integrations.
• Collaborate closely with business analysts, system architects, and other stakeholders across continents to gather requirements, define solution scope, and ensure alignment with business processes.
• Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including designing, developing, and testing solutions across Power Platform and D365 F&O.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Power Automate, Power BI, D365 F&O, and their integrations efficiently, ensuring system stability and optimal performance.
• Monitor and optimise the performance of existing automations, reports, and integrations.
• Create and maintain technical documentation.
• Stay up to date with the latest Power Platform features, D365 F&O updates, integration technologies, and best practices.

Required Skills and Experience

• Minimum 5-7 years of proven experience in developing solutions with Dynamics 365 F&O and Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power BI).
• Strong experience with integration tools and methodologies (e.g., Logic Apps, Azure Integration Services, APIs, EDI) for connecting D365 F&O and other systems.
• Proficient in Power BI development, including data modelling, DAX, data visualisation, and report/dashboard creation.
• Good experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations development (X++, C#, .NET framework).
• Solid understanding of data structures, data modelling, and database concepts.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to effectively analyse and troubleshoot technical issues across platforms.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams across continents.
• Excellent verbal English communication skills are essential.
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a remote setting.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (e.g., MB-500: Microsoft Dynamics 365: Finance and Operations Apps Developer).
• Microsoft Power Platform certifications (e.g., PL-900 Power Platform Fundamentals, PL-200 Power Platform Functional Consultant, PL-400 Power Platform Developer, PL-300 Power BI Data Analyst).
• Experience with Power Apps (canvas and/or model-driven apps).
• Experience with Azure services relevant to data and integration (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions).
• Knowledge of industry-specific integrations and business processes (e.g., supply chain, finance, manufacturing).
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
