Position Title: Business Central Functional Lead (SCM)

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Functional Lead for our Dynamics 365 Business Central practice. This role requires a leader capable of driving end-to-end implementation projects with a focus on Supply Chain Management and Manufacturing. You will lead client engagements, manage functional deliverables, and ensure the successful delivery of solutions in the Pharma and Equipment sectors.
Roles And Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of D365 Business Central implementations through all project phases from Analysis to Go-Live and beyond.
- Lead requirements gathering sessions with C-level stakeholders and process owners across all implementation phases.
- Develop comprehensive solution blueprints for SCM, Manufacturing, Production Control, Capacity Planning, and Inventory processes.
- Configure Business Central modules including Manufacturing, Planning, and Warehouse Management to align with client business processes.
- Provide expert consultation on Production Orders, BOMs, Routings, Capacity Planning, and Shop Floor management.
- Configure and optimize Master Planning, MRP, and production scheduling for Manufacturing environments.
- Mentor and manage junior functional consultants, reviewing their work and providing guidance.
- Conduct Train the Trainer sessions and guide the client team through UAT.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and value addition for clients, especially in Manufacturing operations.
- Collaborate with the technical team to define specifications for extensions and reports.
- Provide advisory on D365 Business Central licensing models and recommend optimal licensing strategies based on client requirements.
- Manage scope creep and assist Project Managers in change request management.
- Ensure solution compliance with industry regulations (especially relevant for Pharma clients).
- Troubleshoot complex functional issues during the support phase and post-Go-Live.
- Contribute to the development of internal IP and best practice methodologies.
Required Skill Set
ERP Expertise: Extensive knowledge of Dynamics 365 Business Central and Dynamics NAV.
Functional Areas: Expert in Manufacturing, Production Control, Capacity Planning, MRP, Planning, Warehousing, and Supply Chain.
Manufacturing Expertise: Deep knowledge of production planning, BOMs, routings, work centers, capacity requirements, and shop floor control.
Industry Experience: Proven hands-on experience working with Manufacturing industries and understanding their unique production processes.
Project Lifecycle: Demonstrated ability to manage projects through all phases from Analysis to Go-Live.
Licensing Knowledge: Strong understanding of D365 Business Central licensing models and ability to advise on optimal licensing strategies.
Project Management: Familiarity with Sure Step or Agile implementation methodologies.
Analysis: Strong business analysis skills with the ability to map complex processes.
Documentation: Excellent documentation skills for FRD, FDD, and User Guides.
Tools: Proficiency in Rapid Start / Configuration Packages for data migration.
Soft Skills: Strong leadership, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.

SELECTION CRITERIA
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Business, or Engineering.
- Experience: 7+ years in Dynamics NAV/BC, with at least 3 years as a Lead Consultant, with proven experience in Manufacturing industry implementations through all phases from Analysis to Go-Live.
- Manufacturing Focus: Must have hands-on experience implementing Manufacturing and Production Control modules in real Manufacturing environments.
- Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Business Central Functional Consultant Associate (MB-800).
- Domain Experience: Prior experience in Pharmaceutical or Heavy Equipment manufacturing is highly desirable.
- Track Record: Proven history of successful implementations delivered on time and budget.
