Purpose of the Job
The D&T Manager - Planner for GRC, Performance and Portfolio is responsible for the operational planning and resource optimization of the GRC, Performance and Portfolio Management function itself. This role encompasses demand planning, capacity planning, resource allocation, performance management, budget management, and reporting to ensure the function operates efficiently and delivers on its strategic objectives. The Manager - Planner ensures the function has the right resources, processes, and plans in place to meet its governance, risk, compliance, performance management, and portfolio oversight responsibilities across the organization and supports the Global Director in functional management.

Key Responsibilities:
Customer:
- Be highly proactive in understanding and planning for the operational requirements of the GRC, Performance and Portfolio Management function.
- Support the Global Director with stakeholder engagement and communication on function performance and priorities.
- Provide regular and timely reports to function leadership on resource capacity, demand pipeline, progress against objectives, and key risks and issues.
- Prioritize work intake and manage demand to ensure the function can effectively deliver on its responsibilities.
- Gather and analyze feedback from internal stakeholders and the function team to inform planning and decision-making.
- Ensure the function's plans align with organizational D&T strategy and business objectives.
People:
- Support the Global Director in managing the function's operations and team coordination.
- Lead engagement within the function and across D&T, collaborating with function leadership, D&T peers, and cross-functional teams.
- Drive adoption of best practices and standards for planning, performance management, and operational excellence within the function.
- Support the development of function staff by identifying skill gaps and facilitating learning opportunities.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment to enhance team performance.
- Provide guidance to team members on planning processes and operational best practices.
Operations:
Planning and Resource Management:
- Develop and manage comprehensive demand, capacity, and resource plans for the GRC, Performance and Portfolio Management function.
- Ensure the function has adequate resources (people, tools, budget) to meet its operational and strategic commitments.
- Monitor the health of the function's work pipeline, ensuring visibility and proactive risk management.
Functional Administration:
- Support the Global Director with meeting coordination, agenda preparation, and follow-up on action items.
- Manage documentation and records for the function, ensuring accessibility and compliance.
- Coordinate cross-functional initiatives and ensure alignment of functional activities with broader D&T priorities.
Process Improvement:
- Identify and implement best practices to streamline the function's operations and improve efficiency.
- Continuously evaluate and refine processes to enhance productivity, reduce bottlenecks, and optimize resource utilization within the function.
Performance and Reporting:
- Develop and manage performance management frameworks to track the function's operational effectiveness.
- Deliver regular reports on demand plans, portfolio health, operational performance, and key metrics to function leadership and stakeholders.
- Track and report on the function's delivery against commitments and objectives.
Financial Results
- Lead the annual budget planning cycle for the GRC, Performance and Portfolio Management function.
- Act as budget custodian tracking and managing the function's Capex and Opex budgets to ensure delivery on time, in full, and on budget.
- Identify cost optimization opportunities and ensure efficient allocation of the function's financial resources.
Track proposed benefits and outcomes for the function's initiatives to ensure value realization.
Job Requirements - Experience and Education
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- University degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 9-10 years background in IT with proven experience (6-7 years) in planning, portfolio management, GRC operations, or related functional administration.
- Strong understanding of IT Governance, Risk, Compliance frameworks, processes, and methodologies (e.g., ITIL, COBIT).
- Excellent organizational, stakeholder management, communication, and analytical skills.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively across functions and support senior leadership effectively.
- Experience managing budgets and financial accountability.
- Strong coordination skills with ability to manage multiple workstreams and priorities simultaneously
