Purpose of the Job
The Associate Manager - Resource Utilization plays a strategic role in overseeing and optimizing resource allocation across the Digital and Technology department. This position involves leading capacity planning, resource forecasting, and cross-functional coordination to ensure optimal deployment of personnel and assets. The role supports enterprise-level initiatives and contributes to strategic decision-making by providing insights into resource trends and utilization efficiency. It includes oversight of and continuous improvement efforts to enhance operational performance and value delivery.
Ultimately, the Associate Manager- Resource Utilization plays a pivotal role in driving Aramex's operational efficiency and maximizing the value of resources within the technology department delivering Transformational and operational Projects. Through enterprise planning, effective communication, and continuous improvement efforts, they help ensure that the department operates efficiently, delivers projects successfully, and contributes to the organization's overall success.
The overall purpose of this role is to:
Lead enterprise planning for resource management across the D&T department.
Monitor and report on resource utilization trends and forecasts.
Align resource deployment with enterprise goals and transformation initiatives.
Drive capacity planning for short-term and long-term needs.
Champion continuous improvement in resource efficiency.
Foster cross-functional collaboration and communication.
Ensure timely, cost-effective resource delivery for project success.
Implement risk management practices to mitigate resource-related risks.
Job Description
1. Customer

- Ensuring alignment of resource deployment with strategic priorities are properly resourced and prioritized.
- Mitigate risks associated with resource constraints or misallocation that will prevent the delay in benefits realization of Critical Initiatives
2. People
- Focuses on team, talent, and collaboration:
- Oversee utilization of personnel (staff and contingent) ensuring people are effectively deployed and engaged.
- Own and lead the communication and collaboration required to enhance the utilization of all related systems supporting capacity planning and resource allocation
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement in resource management practices encouraging learning and development within teams.
- Cultivate and manage vendor relationships to access supplementary resources as necessary to extend team capabilities through external partnerships.
3. Operations
- Lead enterprise resource allocation across the D&T department by owning and driving the centralization of Resource planning for operational efficiency.
- Optimize resource usage to maximize productivity and minimize waste by ensuring bench of resources are assigned to Projects efficiently and in a timely manner.
- Ensure governance and compliance in resource planning and execution as mandated by company guidelines and internal controls.
- Maintain awareness of industry trends and bring to execution best practices in resource management & Capacity Planning
4. Financial Result
- Oversee utilization of budgetary resources are allocated as per agreed Demand Portfolio ensuring financial benefits agreed in the Portfolio are delivered On Time In Full.
- Provide reports, insights and recommendations for productivity optimization supporting data-driven financial decisions.
- Optimize resource usage to maximize productivity and minimize waste by ensuring Project resources do not remain on the bench underutilized.
Job Requirements - Experience and Education
- A university degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field is essential.
- Minimum 8 - 10 years of experience in IT with proven expertise in enterprise resource management, capacity planning, and cross-functional leadership.
- Familiarity with SAP or other ERP systems delivering Resource Utilization/ TimeSheets capabilities.
- Having worked with SAP Products/Services is a distinct advantage.
- Strong understanding of IT governance, enterprise processes and methodologies.
- Knowledge of technology trends and industry best practices in resource optimization.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive strategic initiatives.
- Proficiency in project management tools and enterprise resource planning systems.
- Experience with IT performance management frameworks (e.g., ITIL, COBIT).
