About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Operational OT Security Specialist to join our dynamic team at Stolt-Nielsen Limited. This pivotal role involves serving as the primary point of contact for cybersecurity alerts and incidents within our operational technology (OT) networks, which include our maritime vessels and terminal facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the secure and resilient operation of our OT infrastructure, proactively identifying vulnerabilities, and implementing robust security measures to safeguard critical assets from cyber threats. This role demands a combination of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and proactive incident management to uphold the integrity and safety of our operational technology systems across all platforms.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in OT and cybersecurity, preferably within industrial or maritime environments. A strong understanding of OT network architecture, protocols, and security standards is essential. Candidates should have proven expertise in hardening OT systems, designing secure network configurations, and managing security devices such as firewalls and intrusion detection systems. Familiarity with industry standards like IEC 62443 and NIST Cybersecurity Framework is required. Excellent communication skills, critical thinking, and a proactive approach to risk management are vital attributes. Relevant certifications such as ISA/IEC 62443, CISSP, or equivalent are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee cybersecurity operations for all vessel and shore-based operational technology systems, ensuring continuous monitoring and incident response.
  • Develop, implement, and enforce security policies aligned with industry standards such as IEC 62443 and NIST Cybersecurity Framework to ensure compliance across all OT environments.
  • Coordinate with the outsourced Security Operations Center (SOC) for effective OT network monitoring, alert handling, and incident response activities.
  • Secure and protect Industrial Control Systems (ICS), SCADA systems, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), and other OT components critical to operational safety and efficiency.
  • Manage perimeter security measures, including firewalls, network segmentation, and access controls to prevent unauthorized access and cyber threats.
  • Collaborate closely with IT teams to align security policies and ensure seamless integration between IT and OT security practices.
  • Prepare and lead incident response plans specifically tailored for OT-related cybersecurity events, conducting investigations and root cause analysis as needed.
  • Identify, prioritize, and mitigate vulnerabilities within ICS, PLC, and DCS environments, ensuring minimal operational disruption.
  • Review and validate vulnerability reports from the SOC, assessing operational risks and the feasibility of remediation efforts.
  • Support OT-related projects, including security solution upgrades, infrastructure refreshes, compliance assessments, and penetration testing exercises.
  • Provide training, guidance, and best practices to local teams to enhance overall OT security awareness and capabilities.
