Cybersecurity Research & Operations Analyst

About the Role:

Protect Threat is seeking a motivated Fresher or Junior Cybersecurity Analyst to join our growing team in Mumbai. This is a unique hybrid role that combines hands-on cybersecurity research with business operations and client coordination. The ideal candidate is someone who is curious about emerging threats, comfortable with analytical tools, and eager to develop both technical and operational skills within a fast-paced cybersecurity consulting environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Threat Intelligence & Research

Monitor emerging security events, vulnerabilities, and exploits across various intelligence feeds and platforms.

Contribute to the technical team's vulnerability analysis, incident response, and reporting workflows.

Support ongoing security projects by performing reconnaissance, log analysis and data triage under mentor supervision.

2. Operations & CRM Management

Maintain and update internal workflows using CRM and project management tools.

Ensure client data, engagement progress, and project deliverables are accurately tracked and documented.

Assist with client communication, scheduling, and coordination between technical and business teams.

3. Documentation & Reporting

Prepare structured technical documents including audit findings, research summaries, and incident reports.

Create and manage presentation decks and knowledge-base materials for internal and client use.

Contribute to process documentation and playbooks to support repeatable, high-quality service delivery.

4. Cross-Team Support

Act as a liaison between cybersecurity analysts and business operations teams.

Translate technical findings into actionable insights for internal stakeholders or clients.

Learn the fundamentals of security project lifecycles from scoping and assessment to client delivery.

Who You Are

Tech-Savvy Learner: A graduate in Information Technology, Computer Science or Cybersecurity, with strong curiosity for new technologies, frameworks and Market Trends.

Analytical & Organized: Able to handle multiple tasks, manage data, and maintain attention to detail within CRM and documentation tools.

Communicative & Collaborative: Skilled in written and verbal communication, capable of presenting technical information in an understandable manner. Excellent written English for drafting professional emails and proposals.

Self-Driven: Willing to take initiative, learn independently, and grow within both technical and management domains.

MBA Grad (2024/2025): Specialization in Operations, IT Management, or Marketing. (Preferred)

Tech Enthusiast: You may not code, but you understand what Cloud, Phishing, and Firewalls are (or are eager to learn fast).

Management Skills: You are organized, disciplined, and familiar with basic project management concepts.
