About the Role
Gain hands-on experience in cybersecurity by working on real-world security projects. Learn to identify vulnerabilities, monitor security threats, perform security assessments, and help protect web applications, networks, and digital assets using industry-standard tools and best practices.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security events and alerts.
- Perform vulnerability assessments and basic penetration testing.
- Identify and report security risks in web applications and systems.
- Assist in implementing security controls and best practices.
- Support incident response and security investigations.
- Document security findings and prepare assessment reports.
- Collaborate with development teams to improve application security.
- Stay updated with the latest cybersecurity threats and trends.
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles and network security.
- Knowledge of operating systems (Windows and Linux).
- Familiarity with networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, and firewalls.
- Basic knowledge of web application security and common vulnerabilities (OWASP Top 10).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with penetration testing tools such as Burp Suite, Nmap, or Wireshark.
- Basic scripting knowledge in Python or Bash.
- Understanding of vulnerability assessment and ethical hacking concepts.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
