About The Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Staff Cybersecurity Engineer to join our dynamic security team at GigSky. This role is critical in safeguarding our infrastructure, cloud environments, applications, and user devices against evolving cyber threats. As a key member of our security leadership, you will be responsible for proactively identifying vulnerabilities, enhancing security protocols, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. You will lead incident response efforts, conduct penetration testing, and embed security best practices into our product development lifecycle. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence the security posture of a rapidly growing organization operating at the forefront of global connectivity. The ideal candidate will possess a deep technical background, a problem-solving mindset, and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams to foster a security-first culture.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10-12 years of experience in cybersecurity, with proven expertise in multiple technical domains such as threat hunting, reverse engineering, red/blue teaming, or incident response. Strong foundational knowledge of operating systems, particularly Linux or macOS, is essential, with additional exposure to Android or iOS considered a plus. A solid understanding of networking protocols and web security is required to assess and mitigate vulnerabilities effectively. Candidates should have experience working with enterprise security standards, RFCs, and supporting regulatory inquiries during security incidents. Certifications such as CCNA are required, with CCNP or higher preferred. Familiarity with security tools like Metasploit, Burp Suite, Cobalt Strike, and forensic analysis techniques will be advantageous. Exceptional problem-solving skills, a proactive approach, and excellent communication abilities are essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and continuously improve GigSky's security posture across all digital assets, including networks, servers, cloud environments, user devices, and application codebases.
- Identify vulnerabilities and high-impact security risks; design and implement effective solutions individually or collaboratively to mitigate threats.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory standards through regular audits, detailed documentation, and enforcement of security policies and processes.
- Lead and coordinate incident response activities, including attack analysis, threat containment, and security alert triage to minimize impact.
- Conduct proactive reconnaissance, penetration testing, and vulnerability scans on public-facing infrastructure to identify and remediate weaknesses.
- Participate in the security review process during the design phase of new features, embedding security considerations early in development.
- Educate and guide employees across the organization on secure computing practices, fostering a security-aware culture with clarity and empathy.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security is integrated into all aspects of product development and operational processes.
