  • Supporting the evaluation of COTS products to meet project needs (e.g., syslogger, IDS, IPS, firewall, SIEM, etc.)

  • Executing security engineering tasks, including deploying, configuring, and hardening devices such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, servers, routers, and switches

  • Participating in design reviews with a cybersecurity perspective and challenging technical choices

  • Providing support for technical issues, customer queries, and incident response

  • Collaborating across traditional engineering functions and interfacing with the global Alstom cybersecurity technical team for new developments

  • Supporting tender teams on cybersecurity products/solutions for Alstom bids in the railway domain

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field

  • 5+ years of experience in information technology and security

  • Experience or understanding of embedded or industrial systems (e.g., railway, aeronautics)

  • Hands-on experience with security products (e.g., IDS/IPS, Sysloggers, WIPS, SIEM, Firewalls)

  • Knowledge of security protocols (e.g., RADIUS, VPN, IP-SEC, SSH)

  • Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, Linux) and tools for log/event and packet analysis (e.g., Wireshark, tcpdump)

  • Cybersecurity certifications (e.g., GICSP, CISSP, GSEC, CISM) are desirable

  • Strong documentation and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders

  • Knowledge of networking and network design is an added advantage

Things you'll enjoy Join us on a life-long transformative journey - the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career. You'll also:

  • Enjoy stability, challenges, and a long-term career free from boring daily routines

  • Work with new security standards for rail signalling

  • Collaborate with transverse teams and helpful colleagues

  • Contribute to innovative projects

  • Utilise our flexible and inclusive working environment

  • Benefit from our investment in your development through award-winning learning

  • Progress towards leadership roles or technical expertise tracks

  • Benefit from a fair and dynamic reward package that recognises your performance and potential, plus comprehensive and competitive social coverage (life, medical, pension)

You don't need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us. We guarantee that when you step onto one of our trains with your friends or family, you'll be proud. If you're up for the challenge, we'd love to hear from you!
