Cybersecurity Analyst

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor security alerts and analyze potential threats using security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection platforms.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and work with IT teams to remediate identified risks.
• Investigate security incidents, perform root cause analysis, and document findings.
• Maintain and update security policies, procedures, and documentation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security best practices are followed.
• Assist in the development and execution of security awareness training programs.
• Stay updated on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and industry trends.
• Participate in security audits and compliance initiatives.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in cybersecurity, preferably in a security operations or analyst role.
• Knowledge of security frameworks and standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, or CIS Controls.
• Experience with security tools including SIEM (Splunk, QRadar, Microsoft Sentinel), antivirus, firewall, and vulnerability scanning tools.
• Familiarity with network protocols, operating systems (Windows, Linux), and cloud security concepts.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Desirable Skills and Certifications:

• Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC), or CISSP Associate.
• Experience with scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) for automation.
• Understanding of incident response, threat intelligence, and malware analysis.
• Knowledge of cloud security platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and security best practices.
