What you'll do
- Design, implement, and maintain robust security systems and protocols to protect organizational assets.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits.
- Monitor security systems, analyze logs, and respond promptly to security incidents and alerts.
- Develop, implement, and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures in line with best practices.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to integrate security into the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Research emerging security threats, technologies, and regulations to ensure proactive defense strategies.
- Provide expert guidance and support on security-related matters to internal teams and stakeholders.
What you'll need
- 1+ years of experience in cybersecurity engineering, with a strong understanding of security principles and best practices.
- Proficiency in network security, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and secure network architectures.
- Hands-on experience with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools (e.g., Splunk, ELK Stack, QRadar).
- Demonstrated ability in vulnerability management, penetration testing, and security assessment tools.
- Experience with cloud security platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and securing cloud-native applications and infrastructure.
- Familiarity with industry security frameworks and compliance standards (NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR, SOC 2).
- Strong scripting and automation skills (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash) for security tasks.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent are highly desirable.
