Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Cyber Security Engineer (L2) with strong hands-on experience in Microsoft 365 security, compliance, and identity solutions. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in managing enterprise security environments, handling escalations, and ensuring adherence to security and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Microsoft 365 Administration (Office 365 E3)
Administer and support Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive
Manage user lifecycle activities (provisioning, modification, deactivation)
Troubleshoot mail flow, access issues, and service-related incidents
2. Enterprise Mobility & Security (EMS E3)
Manage Azure AD, Conditional Access policies, and Identity Protection
Administer Intune for device compliance, configuration, and app protection
Implement and troubleshoot Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
3. Microsoft 365 Compliance (E5)
Monitor compliance tools including Insider Risk, eDiscovery, and audit logs
Support implementation of compliance policies aligned with business requirements
Investigate and resolve compliance alerts and incidents
4. Microsoft Purview (DLP)
Configure and manage Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies across M365 workloads
Monitor and investigate DLP alerts and incidents
Optimize policies to reduce false positives and improve protection
5. Microsoft Priva (Privacy Management)
Support Privacy Risk Management and Subject Rights Requests (SRR)
Assist in data discovery, classification, and privacy compliance initiatives
Ensure alignment with regulatory and organizational privacy requirements
6. Incident & Problem Management
Provide L2 support for escalated issues from L1 teams
Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions
Ensure adherence to SLAs and timely ticket resolution
7. Documentation & Reporting
Maintain SOPs, knowledge base articles, and troubleshooting documentation
Prepare reports on incidents, compliance posture, and security metrics
Required Skills & Qualifications
25 years of experience in cybersecurity or Microsoft 365 administration
Strong hands-on experience with:
oMicrosoft 365 (Office 365 E3)
oAzure AD, Conditional Access, Identity Protection
oMicrosoft Intune (device and application management)
Working knowledge of:
oMicrosoft Purview (DLP, Compliance Manager)
oMicrosoft 365 Compliance Center tools
Exposure to Microsoft Priva (privacy and risk management)
Experience in L2 support, incident handling, and escalation management
Strong understanding of security, compliance, and identity frameworks
Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills
Preferred Qualifications
Certifications such as:
oMicrosoft 365 Certified: Security Administrator Associate
oMicrosoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate
Experience working in enterprise-level support environments
Familiarity with ITSM tools and ticketing systems
