Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and technically sound Cyber Security Analyst to support our IT Help Desk team. The candidate will be responsible for monitoring, identifying, and mitigating cybersecurity threats, protecting in-house servers, and ensuring organizational security against phishing and cyber attacks.
The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of how cybersecurity frameworks, tools, and controls function in a real-world IT environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts and incidents.
- Protect in-house servers, endpoints, and network infrastructure from cyber threats.
- Identify and mitigate phishing attempts, malware, ransomware, and other attacks.
- Support email security, firewall configurations, antivirus, and endpoint protection tools.
- Assist the IT Help Desk team in resolving security-related tickets.
- Conduct basic vulnerability assessments and risk analysis.
- Ensure adherence to security policies and best practices.
- Escalate critical security incidents as required.
- Maintain documentation of incidents, root cause analysis, and remediation steps.
- Support global users in a 24/7 operational environment.
Required Technical Skills
- 12 years of experience in Cyber Security / Information Security.
- Strong understanding of:
- Phishing attack mechanisms and prevention
- Malware, ransomware, and endpoint protection
- Firewall and network security fundamentals
- SIEM tools (basic knowledge preferred)
- Email security solutions
- Active Directory security basics
- Knowledge of Windows Server security hardening.
- Understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, etc.).
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 security features is an added advantage.
Soft Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to explain security risks to non-technical users.
- Willingness to work in 24/7 rotational shifts supporting global clients.
- Team-oriented mindset to work alongside IT Help Desk members.
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science / IT / Cyber Security or related field.
- Certifications like CEH, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent are an added advantage.
