Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Legal Counsel to join our team in India, focusing on legal matters related to cybersecurity for our BPO and website operations in the fintech and medtech sectors. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in navigating the complexities of cybersecurity laws and regulations, ensuring compliance, and providing sound legal advice to mitigate risks.
Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice and guidance on cybersecurity laws and regulations applicable to BPO and website operations in the fintech and medtech sectors.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts related to cybersecurity, data protection, and compliance with relevant laws.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate legal risks associated with cybersecurity breaches.
- Stay updated on changes in cybersecurity legislation and industry standards, and advise the organization accordingly.
- Collaborate with IT and compliance teams to ensure that cybersecurity policies and procedures are effectively implemented and adhered to.
- Assist in preparing and responding to legal inquiries, audits, and investigations related to cybersecurity issues.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized university.
- Master's degree in Cyber Law or related field is preferred.
- 10-20 years of experience in legal practice with a focus on cybersecurity, data protection, and technology law.
- In-depth knowledge of Indian and international cybersecurity regulations and frameworks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex legal documents.
- Excellent negotiation, drafting, and communication skills.
- Experience working in the fintech and medtech sectors is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
