Responsibilities:

Compliance & Regulations

• Ensure compliance with customs laws, importexport regulations, and trade policies.
• Stay updated with customs notifications, tariff changes, and duty structures.
• Adhere to government regulations such as Customs Act, DGFT, FEMA, and other statutory requirements.

Coordination with Authorities

• Liaise with customs officials for smooth clearance of goods.
• Coordinate inspections, examinations, and assessments of consignments.
• Resolve customs queries, objections, or delays promptly.

Shipment & Logistics Coordination

• Coordinate with shipping lines, freight forwarders, CHA agents, and transporters.
• Monitor cargo movement and ensure timely release of shipments.
• Handle port, airport, and bonded warehouse operations.

Duties, Taxes & Valuation

• Calculate customs duties, taxes, and applicable charges.
• Ensure correct valuation and classification of goods.
• Process duty payments and refunds, if applicable.
