Job Description

Job Title: Customer Support Engineer - Building Management System (BMS) / Automation

Location: Mumbai, Navi Mumbai

Experience: 2-5 years of experience in BMS, HVAC, or ELV systems.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dynamic and technically adeptCustomer Support Engineerto join our Building Management System (BMS) team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in bridging the gap between technical solutions and customer needs, working closely with the sales team to drive revenue growth through accurate solution design, technical consultation, and quotation management. This role demands strong technical proficiency, commercial acumen, and excellent interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical & Sales Support

Provide expert technical support to the sales team during pre-sales activities.

Understand client needs and deliver tailored, cost-effective BMS solutions.

Assist with technical sizing, product selection, and solution design.

Customer Engagement

Collaborate with sales representatives and customers to present effective technical solutions.

Participate in customer meetings and technical discussions to support deal closure.

Handle post-sales technical support and issue resolution.

Proposal & Quotation Management

Prepare accurate, timely technical and commercial quotations in coordination with the Regional Sales Manager.

Track quotation outcomes including win rates and response times.

Negotiate with vendors for competitive pricing and product availability.

Order Management & Execution Handover

Review and validate customer purchase orders.

Ensure POs align with submitted offers and coordinate for necessary amendments.

Handover clean and complete orders to the Sales Operations Manager for execution.

Team & Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work closely with internal teams (sales, operations, and engineering) to ensure seamless project execution.

Assist dealers and regional managers in customer meetings and negotiations.

Contribute to achieving and exceeding regional sales targets.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required:

Engineering degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical disciplines.

2-5 years of experience in BMS, HVAC, or ELV systems.

Strong technical background with a customer-first approach.

Excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project).

Knowledge of commercial terms and contract handling.

Preferred:

Familiarity with PLC/DDC systems and BMS software applications.

Prior experience with product sizing, equipment selection, and vendor management.
