About The Role

The role is primarily to provide an enhanced customer support experience to Ikon Science's growing RokDoc and Curate user base in India, and to assist with pre-sales business development activities with the same clients.

The role may also involve a contribution to the same activities with Ikon's user base across Asia Pacific and Middle East regions.

Requirements

The remit of the Customer Success Geoscientist is to provide technical support during the pre and post sales lifecycle for the RokDoc and Curate suite of software in India.

The candidate should be able to establish a trusted advisor relationship with our users and stakeholders to better provide proactive support and engagement.

The candidate will act as a to-and-from information conduit between Ikon's regional team and our Indian clients.

  • Works with the regional Customer Success Team to answer client technical queries in a timely manner and to a high standard.
  • Create and deliver presentations and software demos for RokDoc software solutions.
  • Performs work association assignments onsite with clients using RokDoc and/or Curate software.
  • Delivers software training.
  • Contributes to regional technical support helpline responses when required.
  • Gathers client feedback to serve as input to software development prioritization.
  • Adopts and adheres to the bug and enhancement request reporting process.
  • Perform any other duties consistent with the role.

Note that this position comes with an expectation of business travel, to engage users at client offices in the Indian metropolitan centres and certain outstation areas, estimated at two to three weeks per month.

Key Accountability

  • Reports to the Customer Success Manager, Asia Pacific.
  • Works closely with the India region Business Development Manager to further new business opportunities.

Experience

Required:

  • 3-5 years experience either using or supporting contemporary geoscience software applications, either with a geoscience software / service provider or at an oil & gas operator.

Desirable:

  • Experience using RokDoc or Curate software.
  • Network of peers / contacts at Indian oil & gas operators.
  • Python coding experience.
  • Note that product training and materials will be provided as part of this role's onboarding.

Qualifications

  • Degree: At least a BSc in Geophysics, Earth Science, Engineering or related discipline.

Competencies

  • A self-starter, able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Quick learner, and eager to learn.
  • Responsible, with a Service / Customer Experience mindset.
  • Solid presentation and communication skills.
  • Mobile: comfortable with weekly travel assignments around India and occasionally outside.
