Who Are We
Raptee.HV is a full- stack electric motorcycle startup with a very strong technical moat, founded in 2019 by four engineers from Chennai (Ex Tesla, Wipro), working on bringing a no-compromise upgrade motorcycle to an otherwise scooter- only EV market. Raptee is incubated at CIIC & ARAI.
Role Overview
The Customer Quality Engineer will act as the critical link between frontline service teams and R&D, capturing the Voice of the Customer (VOC), escalating high-impact issues, and driving short-term fixes alongside long-term engineering solutions. This role ensures service efficiency by resolving root causes, minimizing rework, and enhancing product reliability.
What You'll Do
- Analyze daily service issues from customer feedback and warranty data; identify and escalate critical, recurring problems to R&D with clear technical documentation.
- Translate VOC into actionable technical requirements for engineering teams, prioritizing based on impact to customer satisfaction, safety, and business costs.
- Collaborate with R&D on short-term containment actions (e.g., interim service bulletins) and long-term solutions (e.g., design changes, component upgrades).
- Track and follow up on each escalated project through to closure, using KPIs like resolution time, recurrence rates, and VOC scores.
- Conduct root cause analysis (e.g., 8D, Fishbone) on high-priority issues and validate solution effectiveness in service environments.
- Support service teams with training on issue identification, data logging, and interim fixes to reduce day-to-day firefighting.
- Maintain quality dashboards, reports, and cross-functional updates on VOC trends, issue pipelines, and resolution progress.
- Drive continuous improvement by participating in FMEA reviews, supplier quality audits, and post-market surveillance for EV components.
Who Can Apply
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical/Electronics, or Production Engineering (or related field).
- 3-5 years of experience in quality engineering, preferably in automotive/EV manufacturing, service, or after-sales.
- Strong knowledge of quality tools (8D, RCA, FMEA, PPAP) and VOC methodologies.
- Experience interfacing with R&D/cross-functional teams; familiarity with EV systems (batteries, motors, electronics) a plus.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, ERP systems) and project tracking.
- Excellent communication skills to bridge technical and operational teams; ability to influence without authority.
- Proactive mindset with a track record of driving issue resolution in fast-paced environments.
