Job Title: Customer Quality Engineer

Job Summary:

We at Accolade Electronics are looking for a Customer Quality Engineer with 35 years of experience in OEM customer handling, complaint resolution, and warranty analysis in electronics manufacturing. Strong expertise in 8D, 5 Why, APQP/PPAP, and automotive quality standards (IATF 16949) is required. Experience in PCBA/SMT processes and electronic systems (ECU, GSM, ESIM) is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Experience in handling OEM customers, field issue analysis, 8D preparation, warranty analysis, and coordination with cross-functional teams
2. Act as point of contact for OEM customers on quality matters.
3. Handle customer complaints, line rejections, and field/warranty issues.
4. Conduct root cause analysis using 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, etc.
5. Coordinate failure analysis of PCBAs, GSM modules, ECUs, electronic assemblies, etc.
6. Drive timely submission of 8D reports to customers.
7. Monitor warranty trends (ESIM, IMEI, GSM modem, etc.) and initiate corrective actions.
8. Support customer audits and ensure compliance with CSR requirements.
9. Ensure implementation of corrective actions in production and supplier end.
10. Participate in new product development reviews (DFMEA, PFMEA).
11. Track customer PPM and implement reduction strategies.
12. Support containment actions during critical line stoppage situations.
13. Ensure traceability, configuration control, and change management compliance (4M changes).
14. Coordinate with production, R&D, testing, and supplier quality teams.
15. Prepare MIS reports, quality dashboards, and customer presentations with Purchase, R&D, Production, and Customer Quality teams.
16. Ensure cost of poor quality (COPQ) reduction through continuous improvement

• Required Skills & Competencies:
• Strong knowledge of electronics manufacturing processes (PCBA, SMT, testing, functional validation).Product-wise contribution margins
• Good knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plan, SPC, MSA
• Understanding of electronic components such as MCU, GSM modem, GPS module, ESIM, power circuits, etc.
• Familiarity with automotive quality standards (IATF 16949).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills (8D, 5 Why, Fishbone).
• understanding of warranty analysis and field return process
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications

Qualifications:

• BE/ B.Tech in Electronics / Electrical / ENTC
• 3-5 years of experience.
