About the Role
This role requires deep system‑level expertise to architect, review and deliver customer‑driven software changes spanning bootloader, Linux kernel, WLAN drivers.
Responsibilities
- Own end‑to‑end design, implementation and validation of customer‑specific software customizations
- Lead complex root‑cause analysis involving cross‑layer software and system interactions
- Drive resolution of advanced performance, stability and multi‑client WLAN issues
- Review and guide customer‑specific changes in kernel, DT, drivers, and configurations
- Influence internal teams on fix strategy, risk assessment, and release readiness
- Mentor junior engineers and review technical deliverables
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering / Computer Science or related field with 8+ years relevant experience
- OR Master's degree with 7+ years relevant experience
- OR PhD with 5+ years relevant experience
- 6+ years of hands‑on debugging experience with WLAN driver development.
Required Skills
- 12–15 years of strong hands‑on experience in WLAN driver development.
- Expert‑level C / C++ debugging skills
- Strong understanding of ARM‑based Linux system architecture
- Experience leading customer customization efforts across multiple platforms
- Strong exposure to performance optimization, memory tuning, and stability analysis
- Expertise in cross‑team technical coordination
- Excellent customer‑facing and technical communication skills
- Hands‑on knowledge of OpenWrt (build system, package management, DTS, kernel integration) is an added advantage
- Prior experience with Qualcomm Wi‑Fi chipsets and QSDK‑based platforms is highly preferred
