Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Customer Data Platform Engineer based in Bengaluru, with flexibility for some remote work. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the infrastructure of the customer data platform, writing and optimizing software, and managing database solutions. You will troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensure system reliability, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize platform performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage Customer Data Platform (CDP) architecture and data pipelines
- Integrate customer data from web, app, CRM, dealer, marketing, and offline systems
- Build unified customer profiles, identity resolution, and audience segmentation frameworks
- Enable personalized journeys, campaign activation, and real-time customer use cases
- Develop data models, APIs, ETL workflows, and platform integrations
- Ensure data quality, governance, privacy, consent, and security standards
- Partner with marketing, analytics, product, and engineering teams to deliver business use cases
- Support dashboards, reporting, attribution, and lifecycle marketing capabilities
Qualifications
Required
- 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Martech Engineering, CDP, CRM, or related roles
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong hands-on experience with at least one leading platform such as Treasure Data, Salesforce Data Cloud / Marketing Cloud, and/or Adobe Experience Platform
- Strong SQL skills and experience with cloud data environments
- Experience with APIs, ETL pipelines, customer identity resolution, and data integrations
- Understanding of customer lifecycle marketing and audience activation workflows
Preferred
- Experience with AWS, Azure and/or Google Cloud
- Familiarity with Python, Spark and/or workflow tools such as Airflow
- Experience integrating CRM, loyalty, mobile app, and web analytics data
- Knowledge of privacy regulations, consent management, and data governance, especially specific to India
- Experience in automotive, mobility, retail, e-commerce, or consumer tech sectors
