Summary:

As a SAP UI5 Lead Developer, you will lead the development of UI applications built on SAP UI5, integrated with backend OData services (such as RAP-based services from S/4HANA/MDG systems). You will be responsible for solution design, guiding the team, and ensuring high-quality delivery. Your role focuses on frontend architecture, integration patterns, and stakeholder collaboration, while working closely with backend teams.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Act as the technical lead for SAP UI5 application development.

Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and define UI solution design.

Lead development of SAP UI5 applications (Freestyle / Fiori Elements).

Work closely with backend teams consuming RAP-based OData services.

Define and govern UI integration with backend services.

Ensure implementation of validations, dynamic UI behavior, and authorization controls.

Drive end-to-end delivery across design, build, SIT, UAT, and deployment.

Make key technical decisions and ensure adherence to UI5 best practices and standards.

Mentor developers and support issue resolution.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (functional, backend, basis).

Professional & Technical Skills:

Must Have:

• Strong expertise in SAP UI5 development (Freestyle & Fiori Elements)
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript, HTML5, CSS
• Experience in consuming OData V2/V4 services
  
  

Good To Have:

• Exposure to SAP BTP (app hosting, destinations, connectivity)
• Basic exposure to CAP (for proxy or service consumption scenarios)
  
  

Strong understanding of:

• UI architecture and design patterns
• Integration with backend APIs
• Authorization and role-based UI behavior
• Debugging and performance optimization
  
  

Additional Information:

Minimum 9+ years of experience in SAP UI5 development.

Strong Stakeholder Management And Leadership Skills Required.

Experience in leading UI development teams is essential.
