Job Title: Senior OnBase Developer
Experience: 8–10 Years
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior OnBase Developer with 8-10 years of hands-on expertise in Hyland OnBase. The ideal candidate will be an expert in OnBase upgrades, with experience performing multiple end-to-end upgrades, including hands-on work with recent OnBase versions. Strong knowledge of Workflow, WorkView, C#, SQL, and OnBase administration is required. Experience in the healthcare domain, along with exposure to HL7 integrations, mailbox imports, and reporting dashboards, is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
OnBase Upgrade & Platform Support
Lead and execute OnBase platform upgrades, including analysis, planning, testing, validation, and post-upgrade support
Perform multiple full-cycle OnBase upgrades across Dev, QA, UAT, and Production environments
Work on recent OnBase versions, resolving upgrade issues related to APIs, workflows, and integrations
Conduct impact analysis, regression testing, and performance tuning during upgrades
Workflow & WorkView Development
Design, develop, and maintain OnBase Workflows, including complex queues, rules, filters, and timers
Build and support WorkView applications, including data classes, attributes, relationships, and forms
Integrate Workflow and WorkView with external systems and business processes
Custom Development & Integrations
Develop and customize OnBase solutions using C# / .NET and Unity APIs
Build and support third-party integrations with OnBase
Develop and support HL7 imports (ADT, ORM, ORU, etc.) in healthcare environments
Configure and maintain mailbox-based document imports (Email Import Processor, Exchange/SMTP/IMAP)
Implement document ingestion, keyword mapping, and classification automation
Reporting, Dashboards & Analytics
Design and maintaining OnBase Reporting Dashboards
Develop custom reports using OnBase reporting tools and SQL Server
Support business users with operational and compliance reporting needs
Administration & End-to-End Maintenance
Perform OnBase administration, including:
- Document types, keyword types, and indexing
- Security, user/group, and role management
- Workflow and WorkView security
Provide end-to-end application maintenance, enhancements, and production support (L2/L3)
Troubleshoot and resolve application, workflow, database, and integration issues
Maintain technical documentation, upgrade runbooks, and operational procedures
Required Skills & Qualifications
8–10 years of OnBase development experience
Strong expertise in OnBase upgrades, with more than one full upgrade experience
Hands-on experience with recent OnBase versions
In-depth knowledge of:
- OnBase Workflow
- WorkView
- OnBase Administration
Strong programming skills in C# / .NET
Advanced SQL Server skills (queries, stored procedures, performance tuning)
Experience with reporting dashboards and analytics
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Preferred / Add-On Skills
Experience in the Healthcare domain (HIPAA-compliant environments)
Hands-on experience with HL7 imports and healthcare integrations
Experience with mailbox-based importing and document ingestion automation
OnBase Certifications (Administrator and/or Workflow preferred)
Experience Integrating OnBase With EMR/EHR Or Other Healthcare Systems
Nice to Have
Exposure to Unity Client and Web Client customization
Experience with Agile / DevOps environments
Knowledge of secure file transfers (SFTP, FTPS), 15 years full time education
