Summary

You will design, configure, and enhance SAP Quality Management (QM) processes while leveraging AI assisted development tools and copilots to accelerate configuration, documentation, process analysis, testing, and problem resolution. The role focuses on delivering robust quality processes across the supply chain, integrating pre built AI services when beneficial, and improving productivity through AI enabled assistancewithout requiring deep AI model engineering or RAG/agentic development.

Key Responsibilities

QM Functional & Technical Delivery

Configure and enhance SAP QM processes across:

• Inspection Planning & Results Recording
• Quality Notifications & Corrective Actions
• Incoming, In Process, and Final Inspections
• Quality Certificates, Sampling Procedures, and Catalogs
• Integration with Procurement, Production, and Warehouse
  
  

Use AI copilots to accelerate creation of functional specifications, streamline configuration validation, and generate comprehensive test cases.

Support end to end delivery across requirements, solution design, configuration, SIT/UAT, deployment, and hypercare.

Integrate QM processes with MM, PP, WM/EWM, PM, SD, and vendor/customer facing systems.

AI Assisted Productivity

Use AI copilots for:

• Rapid requirement summarization
• Impact analysis on inspection types and quality workflows
• Auto generation of documentation (FS/TS/SOPs)
• Faster test case creation for various inspection scenarios
• Pattern detection in quality issues, defects, and notifications
  
  

Leverage pre built AI services for:

• Intelligent classification of defects and notifications
• Predictive quality signals (e.g., expected defect rates)
• Automated summarization of quality issues across plants/batches
  
  

Apply LLM assisted troubleshooting for quicker resolution of QM configuration or process issues.

Governance, Quality & Collaboration

Ensure all QM processes adhere to organizational quality standards, regulatory requirements, audit controls, and compliance frameworks.

Conduct workshops, solution walkthroughs, and root cause analysis using AI generated insights.

Collaborate with procurement, production, warehouse, engineering, quality labs, and technical integration teams.

Contribute to reusable templates, configuration accelerators, inspection plans, and AI enabled best practices.

Required Skills & Experience

SAP QM Expertise

Hands on experience with SAP QM including inspection types, quality notifications, inspection lots, usage decisions, catalogs, MICs, sample procedures, and control indicators.

Understanding of integration dependencies with MM (incoming inspection), PP (in process/production inspections), WM/EWM, SD, and vendor quality.

Experience with quality reports, certificates, and data analysis of inspection results.

AI Ready Skills

Experience using AI copilots, LLM driven documentation tools, and AI assisted testing/troubleshooting accelerators.

Ability to integrate pre built AI capabilities (not custom model/RAG development) into QM operations where appropriate.

Understanding of responsible AI usage, especially in regulated quality and manufacturing environments.

General Skills

Strong analytical and problem solving skills related to quality processes and defect patterns.

Ability to translate quality and manufacturing requirements into scalable SAP QM configurations.

Clear communication and collaboration skills across business and IT teams.

Continuous learning mindset with comfort adopting AI augmented productivity workflows.

Good to Have

SAP QM Certification.

Exposure to LIMS systems, quality labs, or HACCP/GxP environments.

Knowledge of statistical quality control or manufacturing analytics.

Experience with automated testing tools or workflow automation platforms.
