Job Title: Senior Observability Engineer (Salesforce Product)

About The Role

We are building a cutting-edge Salesforce Observability product that gives organizations deep visibility into their CRM health, security, and performance. We are looking for a Senior Observability Engineer to lead the technical design of our monitoring pipelines and visualization layer.

In this role, you will bridge the gap between Salesforce s complex ecosystem and modern observability stacks. You will extract critical telemetry data from Salesforce and turn it into actionable, high-performing dashboards and alerts in Grafana.

What You Will Do

Build Telemetry Pipelines: Design and develop the data pipelines that extract metrics, logs, and events from Salesforce (using REST, Streaming API, or Event Bus) and route them to our time-series databases.

Design the Visualization Layer: Create intuitive, drill-down Grafana dashboards that allow our users to track API usage, Apex performance, login anomalies, and governor limit consumption.

Develop Smart Alerting: Implement intelligent alerting strategies (using Grafana Alerting or Alertmanager) that proactively notify users of critical issues without causing alert fatigue.

Define Best Practices: Standardize how we use OpenTelemetry and shape the overall data architecture for our monitoring product.

What You Need (Required Skills)

Observability Expertise: 3+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), DevOps, or Observability roles.

Grafana Mastery: Deep, hands-on experience building complex Grafana dashboards, using template variables, and writing efficient queries.

Metric Stores & TSDBs: Knowledge of Prometheus, or similar time-series databases

Salesforce Architecture Knowledge: Understanding of how to interact with Salesforce programmatically. You should be familiar with Salesforce APIs, Governor Limits, and ideally Salesforce Event Monitoring (EventLogFile).

Scripting & Automation: Strong programming skills in Python or similar for building custom API integrations and data exporters (if required)

Nice-to-Haves (Bonus Points)

Deep understanding of OpenTelemetry (OTel) standards.

Experience with Salesforce SOQL/SOSL and Apex basics.

Familiarity with log aggregation tools (Loki, Elasticsearch, Splunk).
