As a Custom Software Engineer, a typical day involves leading the design, construction, and configuration of software applications. This role requires taking ownership of the development process and serving as the main liaison for project-related communications. The position demands a proactive approach to managing tasks, coordinating with various stakeholders, and ensuring that the applications meet the required specifications and quality standards. The engineer will also focus on streamlining workflows and addressing challenges that arise during the software development lifecycle, fostering collaboration and innovation within the team environment.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
• Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
• Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements for application development.
• Assist in documenting technical specifications and maintaining project documentation.
• Support junior team members by sharing knowledge and providing guidance when needed.
• Continuously monitor application performance and suggest improvements to enhance efficiency.
  
  

Professional & Technical Skills:

• Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in General Electric (GE) Application Performance Management (APM).
• Strong understanding of application performance monitoring concepts and best practices.
• Experience in troubleshooting and resolving performance issues in complex software environments.
• Ability to analyze system metrics and logs to identify bottlenecks and optimize application behavior.
• Familiarity with software development lifecycle and configuration management processes.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering scalable and maintainable solutions.
