Oracle WACS Data Conversion Specialist
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Oracle WACS Data Conversion Specialist to support data migration and conversion activities for Oracle Utilities Work and Asset Cloud Service (WACS) implementations. The role involves analyzing legacy asset and work management data, mapping it to Oracle WACS target structures, and executing conversions using SQL, PL/SQL, and ODI, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Perform end-to-end data conversion activities for Oracle WACS implementations.
Analyze legacy source systems and map data to Oracle WACS data model and metadata.
Develop and execute ETL processes using Oracle Data Integrator (ODI).
Write and optimize SQL and PL/SQL for data extraction, transformation, validation, and reconciliation.
Convert asset, work order, maintenance, crew, inventory, and related reference data.
Support mock conversions, testing cycles, and production cutover activities.
Perform data validation and reconciliation between source and target systems.
Document data mappings, transformation rules, and conversion procedures.
Required Skills
Strong experience in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL.
Hands-on experience with Oracle Data Integrator (ODI).
Good understanding of Oracle WACS data model, datasets, and metadata.
Proven experience in data conversion / data migration projects, preferably asset or work management systems.
Experience handling large-volume and complex datasets.
Additional Requirements
Knowledge of asset management and work management business processes.
Experience with staging schemas and conversion frameworks.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work independently and meet tight conversion timelines.
Effective communication skills to work with functional, technical, and business teams.
Good to Have
Experience with Oracle Utilities WACS Cloud implementations.
Knowledge of Oracle Utilities Application Framework (OUAF).
Exposure to performance tuning and bulk data load strategies.
Oracle Utilities, Database, or ODI certifications., 15 years full time education
