Summary

As a Custom Software Engineer, you will lead the effort to design, build, and configure applications, acting as the primary point of contact. Your typical day will involve collaborating with various teams to ensure that the applications meet the required specifications and standards. You will engage in problem-solving activities, providing innovative solutions to enhance the functionality and performance of the applications. Additionally, you will oversee the development process, ensuring that the team adheres to best practices and delivers high-quality results. Your role will also include mentoring junior team members and facilitating communication between stakeholders to align project goals and expectations.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Expected to be an SME.
  • Collaborate and manage the team to perform.
  • Responsible for team decisions.
  • Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
  • Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing sessions to enhance team capabilities.
  • Monitor project progress and ensure timely delivery of milestones.

Professional & Technical Skills

  • Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in ServiceNow IT Service Management.
  • Experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS for customizing ServiceNow applications.
  • Understanding of the ServiceNow architecture and modules.
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow administration and development.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript (client-side and server-side).
  • Knowledge of Glide API (GlideRecord, GlideAjax, GlideForm, GlideSystem, etc.).
  • Experience with Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, UI Actions, Script Includes, and Scheduled Jobs.
  • Experience with CMDB (Configuration Management Database).
  • Building and customizing workflows using the Flow Designer and Workflow Editor.
  • Knowledge of ServiceNow Orchestration.
  • Knowledge of relational databases and SQL queries.
  • Hands-on experience in integrating ServiceNow with other systems.
  • Good To Have Skills: Experience with ServiceNow scripting and automation tools

Additional Information

  • The candidate should have minimum 7.5 years of experience in ServiceNow IT Service Management.
  • This position is based at our Gurugram office.
  • A 15 years full time education is required.
