Summary:

As a Custom Software Engineer, a typical day involves designing and developing tailored software solutions that enhance various system components. The role requires continuous collaboration with different teams to ensure the delivery of scalable and efficient applications. The work environment embraces agile methodologies, allowing for iterative improvements and responsiveness to evolving business requirements. This position focuses on creating high-quality software that aligns with organizational goals and supports operational excellence through innovative technical approaches.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Collaboration with WCS Provider and Project Team
• Creation of Logistic Concept (IT solution design), processes and definition of acceptance criteria in hyper automation-, automation projects for Integration of Warehouse Control System (WCS)
• Creation of WCS Integration Document
• Secured communication method (HTTPS, TCP/IP, TLS, etc.)
• Interface description, trigger points, error handling
• Check business request did fit with re-usage of generic message approach of M Conductor or local enhancements of WCS Integration is requested
• Define and describe functional- and non-functional requirements.
• Ensure development of local enhancements of WCS Integration
• Capture the holistic picture of IT landscape in an automated warehouse context.
• Creation of test data and test scripts
• Running of Unit, Performance- and Integration Tests, support User Acceptance Tests
• Go Live and handover to Operations and IT Service management
  
  

Professional & Technical Skills:

• Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in BlueYonder Warehouse Management.
• Good To Have Skills: Experience with A&D Aftermarket.
• Strong knowledge of software development life cycle and agile methodologies.
• Ability to design, code, and optimize software components for performance and scalability.
• Experience in troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues within warehouse management systems.
• Familiarity with integration techniques and working across multiple system platforms.

• The candidate should have minimum 7.5 years of experience in BlueYonder Warehouse Management.
• This position is based at our Chennai office.
• A 15 years full time education is required.
