Job Description: Senior Automation Test Engineer (API & Mobile)

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Test Engineer with strong experience in test automation frameworks, API testing, and mobile automation. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in SQL and programming (Java/Python) and will play a key role in building scalable, maintainable, and high-quality automation solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks using Cucumber (BDD) / TestNG

Develop and execute automated test scripts for web, API, and mobile applications

Implement mobile automation testing using Appium

Build and maintain API automation frameworks (RESTful services validation)

Apply Page Object Model (POM) design pattern for scalable and maintainable test architecture

Perform backend data validation using SQL to ensure data accuracy and integrity

Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines and version control (GitHub)

Analyze test results, identify defects, and collaborate with development teams for resolution

Ensure test coverage, reusability, and performance optimization of automation scripts

Support release cycles and ensure adherence to defined quality standards and SLAs

Required Qualifications

6+ years of experience in Automation Testing

6+ years of hands-on experience in SQL (data validation, complex queries)

Strong experience with:

Cucumber BDD / TestNG for test execution

Appium for mobile automation testing

API test automation (Postman, Rest Assured, or similar tools)

Proficiency in Java or Python programming

Strong understanding of:

Page Object Model (POM) and test design patterns

Automation framework design and best practices

Hands-on experience with GitHub or similar code repositories

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, etc.)

Exposure to cloud-based testing environments

Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies

Experience working with large-scale enterprise applications, 15 years full time education
