Summary:
As a Custom Software Engineer, you will engage in the development of custom software solutions that are designed to meet specific business needs. Your typical day will involve coding, enhancing components, and collaborating with team members to ensure the delivery of scalable and high-performing solutions using modern frameworks and agile practices. You will also participate in discussions to address challenges and contribute to the overall success of the projects you are involved in.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Develop, design and manage advanced reports, dashboards, and complex data models in PowerBI.
Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to understand their data visualization needs and provide solutions.
Implement row-level security on data and understand application security layer models in PowerBI.
Create visualizations and reports for requested projects.
Ensure data quality throughout all stages of acquisition and processing, including data cleaning, normalization, and transformation.
Continually monitor and evaluate the performance of the data models.
Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
Maintain clear and coherent communication, both verbal and written, to understand data needs and report results.
Implement best practices in report design and platform governance
Professional & Technical Skills:
Strong experience in PowerBI, SQL, and other data visualisation tools.
Experience with big data platforms like Hadoop, Spark, or similar technologies is a plus.
Strong knowledge of data modeling techniques and best practices.
Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure is good to have.
Knowledge of data privacy and security principles.
Proficient in using Git and version control systems.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 4 years of experience in Microsoft Power Business Intelligence (BI).
