As a Custom Software Engineer, a typical day involves analyzing various application components to understand their structure and functionality. Collaboration with team members and clients to address issues and implement improvements is a key part of the daily routine, ensuring that software applications remain efficient and effective across multiple client environments.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
- Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
- Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and clarify requirements for software development.
- Document technical specifications and maintain clear records of development activities.
- Assist junior team members by sharing knowledge and providing guidance on best practices.
- Continuously evaluate existing software to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in PTC Windchill.
- Strong understanding of software development life cycle and best practices.
- Experience in debugging and troubleshooting complex software issues.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
- Familiarity with version control systems and collaborative development workflows.
- Good communication skills to effectively interact with team members and stakeholders.
