Job Responsibilities:

  • Review and approve shipping documentation. Issue and maintain customs clearance instructions for shipments
  • Regular Dealing with Govt. Authorities like Custom, DGFT, Export Inspection agency, and MNRE department
  • Develop relationships with customs authorities, acting as a primary contact for their requests.
  • Knowledge of EPCG License, Advance license, MNRE, MOOWR and MEIS scheme
  • Maintain key relationships with internal and external clients, logistics & regulatory agencies
  • Handling ODC Capex movement like molds and other machines to complete project in time with duty saving scheme
  • Giving Monthly Duty Provision based on in-coming shipments
  • Knowledge of Re-export of spares send for repair and return purpose, following compliance like apply GR waiver, and re-export against section 74 for duty refund etc
  • Knowledge of export import of ODC Cargo
  • Knowledge of Normal BOE, In-Bond BOE & Ex-Bond BOE
  • Customs Laws and Regulations Advisory
  • Customs and Trade Compliance Processes
  • Customs Privileges e.g. Free Zone, CKD, Bonded Facilities (MOOWER) and other relevant privileges and concession
  • HS Tariff Classification
  • Customs and Trade Planning
  • Customs and Trade optimization (duty saving)/ Capturing Trade opportunity
  • FTAs, Trade policies, barriers, measures.
  • Secure Customs and Trade Compliance Directive
  • Customs and trade relevant Process setup and management
  • Customs Database Management
  • Project involvement from compliance perspective and process control
  • Take the interface between custom authorities and colleagues/partners on customs Audits
  • Work closely with other departments, external suppliers, Custom broker, freight forwarders, LSPs, Customs authorities and relevant authorities
  • Responsible to provide plant logistic cost for budget to management
  • Monitoring monthly logistic cost and make comparison against budgets
  • Maintaining and circulate monthly Logistic MIS report to management and finance.

Education Qualification:

Bachelor's with 8-10 years experience in Customs compliance, documentation from large scale renewable energy or manufacturing industry

  • Good communication skill.
  • Self-motivated, take initiatives to change process and procedures
