Curriculum Manager- K12 & Stem Education

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and process-oriented Curriculum Manager to lead and streamline our K12 STEM curriculum development function.The role will be responsible for managing the end-to-end curriculum development process and ensuring effective coordination between Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Instructional Design (IDS), and Quality Assurance teams.The candidate will ensure that all curriculum content and learning modules are aligned with NEP 2020, NCF-SE 2023, and relevant K12 academic frameworks, while maintaining high standards of academic accuracy, instructional effectiveness, and quality.The ideal candidate should bring strong academic understanding, process management capabilities, and experience in managing cross-functional curriculum teams.

Key Responsibilities

1. Curriculum Development & Academic Alignment

• Oversee end-to-end development of STEM curriculum and learning modules for K12 students.
• Ensure curriculum alignment with NEP 2020, NCF-SE 2023, and relevant CBSE/NCERT guidelines.
• Develop and review curriculum frameworks, grade-wise learning outcomes, and competency mapping.
• Ensure integration of experiential, inquiry-based, project-based, and competency-based learning approaches.
• Ensure age-appropriate, engaging, and application-oriented content.

2. SME & Instructional Design Coordination

• Manage and coordinate deliverables across Subject Matter Experts and Instructional Designers.
• Ensure academic accuracy, conceptual clarity, and consistency in content development.
• Oversee conversion of academic content into structured and engaging learning modules.
• Ensure appropriate integration of STEM activities, experiments, projects, assessments, and real-world applications.
• Establish clear workflows, responsibilities, and timelines across teams.

3. Quality Assurance & Academic Review

• Establish and implement standardised curriculum quality benchmarks.
• Ensure all modules undergo academic, instructional, and language quality reviews.
• Review alignment between learning objectives, content, activities, and assessments.
• Ensure feedback and corrections are incorporated before final content approval.
• Maintain consistency in quality and academic standards across all programmes.

4. Process Management & Operational Excellence

• Evaluate existing curriculum development processes and identify improvement areas.
• Develop SOPs, content development guidelines, templates, and quality checklists.
• Streamline workflows between SMEs, IDS, and Quality teams.
• Monitor project progress, productivity, timelines, and deliverables.
• Minimise rework and improve overall curriculum development efficiency.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Master's degree in Education, Science, Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline. B.Ed./M.Ed. preferred.
• 7–10 years of relevant experience in curriculum development, academic operations, or instructional design.
• Strong understanding of K12 education frameworks, NEP 2020, and NCF-SE 2023.
• Experience in STEM curriculum development for schools.
• Knowledge of competency-based education, experiential learning, pedagogy, and assessment design.
• Experience coordinating SMEs, Instructional Designers, and Quality Assurance teams.
• Strong understanding of curriculum mapping, learning outcomes, and academic quality standards.
